In the production of soft PVC granules, or flexible PVC, 40-60% of the composition consists of additives. Plasticizers or PVC plasticizers, in particular, make up the largest share of additives in the production of PVC granules. Other additives in the production of soft PVC granules include heat stabilizers like lead, barium-cadmium (for general applications), calcium-zinc (for medical devices and food packaging), lubricants (waxes and epoxidized oils), and anti UV stabilizers.
