At the core of TSR’s operations lies the expansion of the supply chain for essential chemical and mineral raw materials. In addition to its primary products, numerous related and complementary products—designed to complete the industry’s value chain both vertically and horizontally—are being developed and produced in TSR’s research and development units and laboratories.
While chemical and mineral industries remain the backbone of TSR’s business and the main share of its production, the Group has also expanded into other sectors such as commerce and human resources management, with plans to further diversify its activities.
During the 2010s, alongside the establishment of specialized divisions such as Quality Control and Research & Development, TSR (Tose’e Sanaye Reza) broadened its portfolio of products and services. In addition to its well-known mineral and chemical brands—Polysun, Olsun, and Barysun—the Group began investing and creating value in new areas, including commerce and HR management.

Values
TSR is a family-owned business founded by the late Gholamreza Mosabbeh. Beginning in 1939 with the production of traditional handmade footwear (giveh), he later moved into the manufacturing of galoshi shoes during the 1950s and 1960s. With the rising popularity of rubber shoes in the market, he gradually steered the business toward this new line of production.
At that time, however, working in the footwear industry came with major challenges due to the lack of advanced technology, equipment, and raw materials. Manufacturers had to bake rubber, carefully attach the uppers and soles under special conditions, and blend natural rubber with carbonate and other additives. Despite all these limitations, the factory’s wheels of production never came to a halt.
In 1979, Hassan Mosabbeh and other sons of Gholamreza Mosabbeh entered the business, determined to bring about a significant transformation. By 1981, they began producing PVC shoes, coinciding with a period when other companies were also starting to import shoe manufacturing machinery.
At that stage, the granules required for shoe production were sourced from external suppliers. With the outbreak of the Iran–Iraq war, however, PVC granules became rationed. In 1983, the Mosabbeh family obtained a license to produce complementary granules for footwear, taking the first step toward completing the value chain of their business. This move, along with the entry of other enterprises into the market, marked the beginning of the growth of Iran’s PVC granule industry.
The Mosabbeh family continued producing PVC granules within their shoe factory, which not only met their own needs but also supplied part of the market demand. By 1989, as granule production grew, they established a separate factory dedicated to this product. In 1991, the production of shoes and soles was halted so that the business could focus entirely on granule manufacturing.
In the late 1990s, Gholamreza Mosabbeh handed over the leadership of the business to the next generation. In 2001, Hassan and Mohsen Mosabbeh , his sons, launched a DOP oil production plant—further strengthening and completing TSR’s supply chain.
In 2004, Hassan Mosabbeh founded Tose’e Sanaye Reza (TSR) and obtained the license for the P.A.F. project, marking a new chapter of growth. In 2007, with the entry of his son Ali Mosabbeh, the path of expansion continued into the third generation of the Mosabbeh family.
With the purchase and installation of advanced machinery in 2010, the phthalic and plasticizer production line was completed. As the business expanded, it also ventured into new sectors, including mineral industries and barium salts.
This wave of development led to the establishment of a group of companies in the mid-2010s, ushering in an era of modern thinking for the family business. During this time, PVC granule production was also revitalized and relaunched with greater strength for specialized markets.
At the beginning early 2020s, with structural reforms and a renewed business vision, the companies were integrated under a unified identity as the TSR Group.
Today, with more than 85 years of history, TSR Group has grown into a dynamic and diversified holding, encompassing multiple factories and subsidiaries across different industrial sectors. At its core, the Group is anchored by two main production units:
